Dunedin Online Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all individuals and businesses who list or use services on Dunedin Online. By listing your business, you accept these terms in full.
To be listed on Dunedin Online, your business must:
Be based in Dunedin, New Zealand (including surrounding areas)
Operate an active online store or booking service
Offer products or services relevant to Dunedin-based customers
Dunedin branches of national or international chains will be listed at our discretion. We reserve the right to decline or remove listings at any time.
You must apply to list as a trader, and acceptance is at our discretion.
By registering, you confirm that your information is accurate and up to date. We may validate it through third parties.
We reserve the right to edit supplied text or reject images that are unsuitable.
Listings typically go live within one week of approval.
If registering as a business, you confirm you are authorised to act on its behalf.
Registration is by monthly subscription. If payment is not made in a timely manner, your listing may be removed.
We (Dunedin Online) may terminate your listing at any time by notifying you in writing. Fees paid will not be refunded. You may also cancel your listing by contacting us at editor@dunedinonline.co.nz. Fees paid will be forfeited.
We reserve the right to redesign or alter the layout and content of listings on www.dunedinonline.co.nz.
Free Listings:
Business name, image, and a short business bio
No product features, social media promotion, or member benefits
Premium Membership ($10 per month, billed quarterly):
Dedicated store page with SEO boost
Top 3 products featured (with direct click-through to your store)
Ongoing promotion through Dunedin Online social media
Access to NZ Post discounted shipping rates
Map pin for physical locations
Access to group member benefits and future shared advertising opportunities
Only Premium members are eligible for the NZ Post discount and other extended benefits.
Access to discounted NZ Post shipping rates is available only to current Premium subscribers. If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, your access to these discounts will be revoked.
This replaces any previous arrangements where NZ Post discounts may have been available to free listings. Dunedin Online reserves the right to change, suspend, or revoke this benefit at any time.
Premium memberships are charged quarterly via our secure payment processor
You may cancel your membership at any time
Cancellation will stop the next billing cycle; your listing will remain active until the end of your current term
Refunds are not issued for partially used billing periods
You are responsible for providing accurate, up-to-date information, including:
Business name, description, contact info, and links
Product images and website URLs
Dunedin Online is a platform that facilitates discovery of local businesses and has no part in purchases between traders and buyers. Each trader is responsible for their own terms of sale. Dunedin Online cannot be held responsible for the accuracy of listings or issues arising from transactions.
Please read each trader’s individual terms and conditions before making purchases.
Premium listings may be featured across Dunedin Online’s social channels. While we aim to promote all Premium members over time, we make no guarantee of specific timing, frequency, or post type.
Listings in the Fundraisers and Resources sections must meet the same standards of eligibility and accuracy. All fundraising listings must be legitimate and verifiable.
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email to current members.
It is each user’s responsibility to remain aware of any updates to these terms.
These Terms & Conditions replace any previous arrangements, expectations, or informal agreements made prior to 7 August 2025. This includes changes to member benefits such as access to the NZ Post discount, which is now exclusively available to Premium members.
